Photo Postcard View of Curtis Lake: This postcard shows Curtis Lake at a time when the Curtis Mill (shown on the Left) and the Burlington Trains (shown on the right) used it. During the winter when the lake was frozen The Curtis Mill Company cut ice blocks, stored it in ice sheds or loaded on to trains to be shipped to markets. The dam on the Lake was lost in flood of 1941, the 20 acre lake dried up and the dam was never rebuilt.
